Featured Article Traquair House, The Legacy Enjoyment of my favorite brews seems to increase with a direct connection to the source of the beer. In July, I spent some time at the home of one of my favorite Scottish breweries, Traquair House. Standing in front of the famous Bear Gates, I find it easy to feel the history of this place. Outlaws vs. Convicts Beer Dinner The Volstead - Athens, GA So what drew me to this beer dinner? I received a personal invitation from one of the chefs (always a plus), and it took place at a restaurant in my neck of the woods that I did not know existed (gasp!). On Tuesday, July 30th, my sweetie and I checked out The Volstead. Named after the Andrew Volstead, the one who introduced The Volstead Act which began Prohibition, The Volstead can be found at 351 Clayton Street.
